The Wicca Handbook is both a tutorial for new witches and an exceptionally well-organized reference book for experienced practitioners. It guides us through the first steps in becoming a witch and explores many Wiccan traditions, initiations, and magical practices. The Wiccan year-the eight Sabbats-along with many of its rituals and ceremonies are examined. Holland also provides the background of every facet of witchcraft, such as spells for every occasion, psychic protection, numerology, basic astrology, and the lore of stones, metals, candles, animals, and much more.
High Priestess Eileen Holland’s helpful guide is rooted in practicality and intended as a working handbook, not a simple beginner’s guide. The information is rich; clear directions are given, and its range of content is extensive. Spells, circles, crystals, and color magic, herbs, health, and healing are all covered with abundant direction on how to do it, when to do it, and suggestions for seeking guidance from the deities. Those who have been on their path for a few years will find this a great reference book to refer to time and again.

I receive their newsletter! Which is awesome by the way.
I follow them on Twitter.
I have liked their Facebook page.
My go to reference book, especially for herbs, is Scott Cunningham’s Herbal Encyclopedia.
I also have a large book called, “Wicca.” That I use to help inspire me when I want to write rituals.
Very interested in more Wicca books and references. I haven’t replaced any since our fire. Libraries are spendy and free is good.
Liked it and signed up for the newsletter, maybe one will come out close to Xmas I will have to have.
Thanks
I could only do three out of five, I don’t have a blog or twitter account. I’m not that active online, I don’t quite have the time for it…
If I had to choose ONE reference book that is the MOST important in my library, it would have to be Solitary Witch by Silver Ravenwolf. It has a bit of EVERYTHING in it, from basic to more detailed information.
Next in line, or maybe what I first used, were my books by Scott Cunningham. All of them, that I have and have yet to get. It’s incredibly difficult to find a “non-biased” point of view (at least, that’s what I’ve been finding) and he was a good introduction into this way of following my own version of faith and belief.
I signed up for the newsletter. The book looks awesome!

I would love to have this book for my Wiccan library!
I have several go-to reference books. For herbs, Scott Cunningham’s “Encyclopedia of Magickal Herbs” and “A Garden of Herbs” by Eleanour Sinclair Rohde. For crystals, “Love is in the Earth” by Melody. For Goddess-related info and material, anything by Starhawk, “When God Was a Woman” by Merlin Stone, and “The Witches’ Goddess” by Janet & Stewart Farrar. For seasonal and sabbat info, I turn to “The Magickal Year” by Diana Ferguson. And, finally, for practical information about spells, rituals, etc, I turn to books by Ellen Dugan, Silver Ravenwolf and Scott Cunnigham.
I signed up for the newsletter. :3
