This step-by-step approach to physical and emotional health shows how to use the body’s energy centers to speed healing.
In Energy Work, Robert Bruce offers a simple, easy-to-learn approach to self-healing based on his breakthrough system of Body Awareness Tactile Imaging energy work. Bruce explains how to use tactile imaging, based on one’s sense of touch rather than visualization, to stimulate the flow of vital energy throughout the body. This is a system that anyone can use, regardless of age, health, or previous experience. Readers learn how to awaken the body’s energy centers and move healing, vital energy throughout the body.
Energy Work offers exercises to:
- Improve immune system function
- Enhance vitality and self-healing ability
- Increase psychic and spiritual abilities
- Develop stronger and more intimate relationships
Bruce provides easy-to-follow illustrations along with a series of exercises that encourage safe, rapid results. This is a valuable guide for anyone seeking to take charge of his or her health.

Woo! For being the first.
Again w/the three out of five.
I work with energy all the time and I’ve been told I have a “knack” for healing in this manner. I’m good at focusing my intent on healing, visualizing the healing itself (IE, focusing on HOW a cut heals, or hives…), focusing the energy through my hands over the affected area and, once I move my hands away, you can actually SEE the difference…
But I need to be more in touch with it. And practice a bit more.
I am a novice at this so I use Chrystals and stones to help me focus .. concentration and a basic knowledge of the human body and how it works helps as well as prayers.
This book would really help me to explore and learn more about a craft I look forward to learning more about to help myself and others.
My energy work has been quite limited. I have worked with my husband which has been difficult as our energies seem to ‘merge’ and become undifferentiated. Learning more would be good!
I have Reiki II, so I do some Reiki, though I’m often not very confident of my abilities with it.
I’ve worked with crystals and crystal layouts. I’ve also done a more home-grown sort of energy work that I worked out for myself, involving colors and basic energy shifting.

I mostly work with reiki
I primarily work with the energy techniques associated with psionics – directly utilizing and manipulating my own energy, and channeling the energy from the various elements (including spirit) and the ambient energy around me for whatever purpose is necessary. It’s similar to reiki, in that often times the energy is not my own, but different in that I am determining where the energy goes and what it does rather than just letting it go and do where/what-ever it wants. I am always looking for new techniques to try and pass on to others.
I have not done much energy work, but would love to learn more about it.
Answer the following question in a comment on this post: What kind of energy healing do you work with?
Reiki was my first introduction to energy healing (over 20 years ago now), but my practice evolved, along with me. I’m not sure it would have a name now.
And, I’ve reblogged this post here.
I’m still a newbie to energy healing. I would love to learn more about different types so I can use them on my patients.
I’d be very interested in this book. I am a long-time believer in energy both internal and external in helping us manage our lives and our bodies. While I use primarily mindfulness exercises, I incorporate yoga, stretching (with the idea of releasing pent up energy) and creative expression in the practices I offer.
